10 large Granny Smith or other apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
2 cups sugar (or to taste)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1/2 pound (2 sticks) melted butter
Splash of lemon juice

2 cups all-purpose flour, plus 1/4 cup or more for kneading
1 cup very warm water
4 tablespoons oil
Pinch salt
1/2 pound (2 sticks) butter, melted

Directions:

Mix very well - the flour, oil, and salt. When you're done doing this knead in the remaining 1/4 cup of flour. Put it in an oiled bowl for 1/2 hour. Cover the table with a cloth and then roll the dough into 13 x 9 rectangle. Brush it with the melted butter and let it sit for 10 or 15 minutes. Start stretching the dough as thin as you can get it. Let it dry for at least 10 minutes.


Put your filling in and roll it up. Brush butter on the top. Ed and I put slits in the top...

Bake it at 375 for about 45 minutes.
