1/4 cup minced onion
1/2 cup butter
1/2 pound mushrooms, sliced
1 pound round steak, cut into 1/2" strips
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
Dash of pepper
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1/2 cup consommé
1/2 cup dry white wine
1/2 cup sour cream
3 tablespoons sherry

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onion in butter for 10 minutes.

Add mushrooms, then cover and cook for 5 minutes.

Move onions and mushrooms to a bowl.

Brown meat in the same skillet over low heat, then blend in flour with the fat left in the pan.

Add seasonings, onions, mushrooms, tomato paste, consommé, and white wine to the pan.

Simmer gently for 1 hour until meat is tender.

Just before serving stir in sour cream and sherry, then heat, but do not boil.
