1 c. butter or margarine, room temperature
1 c. confectioners sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. miniature chocolate chips
Confectioners sugar for dusting

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven 350º
1. In a medium bowl, beat together butter, sugar, vanilla, and salt until light and fluffy.
2. Add flour, beating until blended. Mixture will be stiff.
3. Stir in chocolate chips.
4. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Flatten cookies with tines of a fork.
5. Bake at 350º for 15 minutes or until edges begin to turn golden.
6. Remove cookies from baking sheet and place on wire racks with wax paper underneath.
7. While cookies are still hot, sift confectioners sugar on top.
