1 tbsp. flour, or a little more if needed
1 egg, beaten
hot grease

Directions:
"Granny Pixley worried if everyone didn't eat vegetables, so she fixed these for the grandchildren. Several yellow squash - boiled with butter and salt and pepper until soft; drain and mash. Add about 1 tbsp. of flour or a little more if needed. Add one egg, well beaten. Stir and form into balls. Drop into hot grease until golden brown.
The kids never knew the difference. Not one was left on the plate!
