1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2/3 cup butter
2/3 cup crisco shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
3 1/2 cups flour
1 bag semi sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º
1. Mix sugars, butter, crisco, eggs and vanilla together until semi-creamy.
2. Add salt, baking soda, flour and chocolate chips.
3. Mix with either a mixer or by hand.
4. Place dough about the size of a golf ball on a cookie sheet (make it so it's a little taller than wide). Place in the oven and bake for 9 minutes exactly. (They may appear even a bit uncooked) Take from the oven and let sit for about a minute and then place on a cold (clean) counter top. Wait about 15 minutes for them to set up.
