4 sticks unsalted butter- room temp
3 cups sugar
8 egg yolks
1 tsp. salt
8 cups chopped dates
3 cups chopped nuts
4 tsp. vanilla
4 cups flour
8 egg whites
Directions:
Directions:
1. Blend butter and sugar till fluffy
2. beat egg yolks and add to butter mixture
3. add salt-dates-nuts-vanilla and flour

In a separate bowl
1. beat egg whites till you see peaks

Fold whites into cookie mixture- carefully

Grease a cookie sheet- pour mixture in sheet bake at 300º for 45 minutes

Let slightly cool till they are still warm - cut into squares and roll in powder sugar while warm
