Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Ham bone with some ham left on it or some nice ham chunks
5-6 large potatoes
1-1 1/2 c. milk
1 stick butter or margarine
salt/pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Take your ham bone and place in large pot that can go into oven. Peel and slice your potatoes scalloped style (very thin). Put them around the ham. In a small sauce pan, melt 1 stick of butter and then add milk. Warm. Salt and pepper the potatoes. Don't use too much salt since the ham will give off salt also. Pour the milk mixture over your potatoes.
Make sure there is enough liquid so they don't dry out. You can always add a little more milk while baking. Bake at 350º for about an hour or so. Check 30 minutes through to make sure you have enough liquid on the potatoes and stir. Top with cheese.
