Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 package dry yeast
1/4 cup warm water
1/2 cup milk, scalded
1/4 cup butter
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 1/2 cups flour
2 eggs, beaten

20 teaspoons apricot jam

GLAZE
1 cup powdered sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons milk
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
1. Soften yeast in warm water to proof. Combine milk, butter, sugar and salt and let cool to lukewarm.

2. Add 1 cup of flour. Beat well. Stir in yeast mixture and eggs. Add enough flour to make a moderately stiff dough.

3. Turn out on lightly floured surface. Knead until smooth and glossy. About 8 to 10 minutes. Place in a greased bowl turning once to grease surface. Cover and let rise in a warm place until double, about 1 1/4 hours.

4. Punch down. Let rest about 10 minutes.

5. Roll dough out into a 14 inch circle. Put a drinking glass in the middle and cut 20 equal sections from center edge of glass to the rim of the circle. Entwine two strips at a time and roll toward center. Continue until all strips have been rolled. Remove glass. Let rise again until double, about 45 minutes.

6. Bake in a 375 degree oven for about 25 minutes until golden brown. Remove from oven and while still warm, spoon 1 teaspoon of apricot jam into the center of each daisy.

7. Mix glaze ingredients and beat until smooth. Drizzle glaze over coffee cake.
