1 package quick-rising yeast
6 cups flour
1/2 c. lard
2 eggs
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 c. warm water
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Put package of yeast to soak in 1/2 cup warm water with 1 tsp. sugar for 10 minutes.

Beat eggs. Add sugar, salt, vanilla, melted lard, warm water and yeast. Add the flour and knead the dough until smooth. Let it rise for 2 hours. Punch down and let rise for one hour. Roll our 3/4 inch thick. Cut into doughnut holes. Let rise until puffy, then fry in hot lard until lightly browned. Sprinkle with sugar while warm.
