11x7 baking pan
1 1/2 cups thinly sliced peaches
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
1 egg
1 tbsp. shortening
1 tbsp. milk
1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
preheat oven to 375º
Combine the peaches, 1/2 cup of the sugar, and water in saucepan
heat to boiling, stirring frequently
set aside, but keep hot
Beat the egg, the other 1/2 cup of sugar, and the shortening until fluffy
add the milk, flour, and baking soda and salt, and mix it all up
spread in baking pan, then pour the hot peaches over it all

bake 35 minutes, i think
