2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup butter, softened (slightly)
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
1 12-oz package (2 cups) semi-sweet (or dark) chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375º. In a small bowl, combine flour,baking soda,salt. In a large bowl (of mixer), combine butter,sugar,brown sugar,and vanilla extract. Beat until creamy. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture. Stir in Chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. * I refrigerate the dough for an hour or two. This keeps the cookies from going flat !)
Bake at 375 degrees for 9-11 minutes.

I've never found a better chocolate chip cookie recipe. Refrigerating the dough keeps them
