1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
Pepper to taste
2 tablespoons of onion - finely chopped
3 cups chicken broth
1/2 pound mushrooms - sliced
3 cups of chicken-cooked and diced
2 carrots - finely chopped
2 stalks celery - finely chopped
2 potatoes - cubed

Directions:
Directions:
1. Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat. Blend in flour, salt, pepper and onion.
2. Gradually stir in chicken broth. Cook, stirring constantly until smooth and thickened.
3. In a small fry pan, cook the mushrooms in butter. Add mushrooms, chicken, carrots, celery and potatoes to sauce. Mix well and pour into large casserole.
4. Cover with pastry and slash (watch it) to allow team to escape.
5. Bake in 400 oven for 30 minutes or until pastry is golden and chicken mixture bubbly.
