2 cups raisins, washed
11/2 cups brown sugar or 1 cup white
2 cups water
1/2 tsp.salt
2 tbsp. butter or margarine
2 tbsp. cornstarch
3 tbsp. lemon juice



Directions:
Directions:
Cook raisins, sugar, water, salt and butter together for 5 minutes.
Dissolve cornstarch in 3 tbsps. cold water.
Add to raisin mixture and cook for another 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
Add lemon juice and pour into 8" pastry lined pan.Cover with pastry strips or solid top with some steam slits. Bake in 400* F. oven for 25 minutes.
