1/4 cup olive oil
1/2 cup butter
6 cloves of garlic finely chopped
1/4 cup parsely, chopped
chopped basil
3 tbl. grated parmesan cheese
pinch dry crushed red pepper (to taste)
2-3 doz. cherrystone clams coarsely chopped
1/2 cup white wine (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Warm oil in saucepan, add butter, simmer until melted. Add garlic, parsley, basil, red and black pepper. Bring to a boil. add clams with their juice and bring to boil.
(if their is not enough juice, add some bottled clam juice). serve over linguini.
