1/2 c. sugar
3/4 stick margarine
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. nutmeg
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 c. grated apples

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together margarine and sugar. Add 2 well beaten eggs. Add all of the dry ingredients. Stir in the apples. Pour into a greased 8 " square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 45 minutes. Serve warm with butter sauce.
Butter Sauce:
6 tbsp. butter or margarine
3/4 c. sugar
6 tbsp. heavy cream
1 tsp. vanilla
Cook in double boiler or over pan of water until slightly thickened and consistency you like.
