2 cups Dried split green peas 3 cups Water
2 cups Cubed ham
2 medium Carrots (cut small)
1 stalk Celery, finely chopped
1/2 cup Barley (uncooked)
5 cups Chicken Broth
1 cup Onion finely chopped
1 teaspoon Salt
4 Bay leaves
1/2 teaspoon Pepper

Parsley 1 teaspoon
Ground thyme 1/4 teaspoon
Garlic 2 cloves minced
Frozen baby peas 1 cup

Directions:
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients (except the ham) in a 3 1/2 quart (3.5 L) slow cooker. Stir and cove. Cook on low for 8 - 10 hours or on high for 4 - 5 hours.
2. Add ham 1/2 way through.
3. Add more chicken stock according to thickness and taste.
