One Boxed cake mix (I use yellow, any brand)
1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
2/3 cup peanut butter
2 large eggs
12 oz. bag chocolate chips

Directions:

Pre-heat oven to 350º

Empty cake mix into large bowl.
Add the two eggs, 1/2 cup liquid shortening, peanut butter and stir well
till all ingredients are blended.
Then stir in chocolate chips.

No need to grease cookie sheets in preparation.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until very lightly browned on outside edges. Do not overbake..

This recipe originated from Kim Brewster at Nana's work. Nana used to bake the cookies whenever any of the kids or grandkids would come over so they would be warm, right out of the oven. They were a hit no matter where they were served. They are in several recipe books, one at Country Lakes, SC, one at Legacy in Leesburg also. Always a hit!
