1 ˝ cup flour
˝ teasp baking powder
1 cup sugar
˝ cup milk
2 eggs
˝ cup cooling oil
1 teasp vanilla
Double this recipe if you want 10 thin layers.

Directions:
Directions:
With mixer, cream eggs, sugar, oil. Add the rest of ingredients, mix until blended. Spray oil cake pans and flour. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pour ˝ cup mixture to each pan and cook 10-12 minutes until light tan or spongy. Place on cooling rack. Icing when cool.

This is the first cake I learned to make in my granny’s country kitchen as a little girl. My granny always made one for me when I came to visit. After her death, I have carried on the tradition and bake it for family gatherings. I even baked one for nephew, Cole’s graduation party! My son, Russ, requested one for his wedding night….
