2 cups applesauce
3/4 cup butter or margarine
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1 cup raisins
1 1/2 cups unbleached flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
In sauce pan, heat together applesauce, butter, sugar, cinnamon, cloves, and rasins, but Do Not Boil! Allow to cool. Mix flours, baking soda, salt, and stir into applesauce mixture with egg and nuts. Spread in a greased 10 x 15-inch baking sheet with a lip, and bake in a 350-degree oven for 30 minutes. Cool before cutting.
