2 c. Sugar
3 c. Flour
1 tsp. Baking powder
1 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Cloves
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1 tsp. Nutmeg
1 c. Shortening
2 eggs
1 c. Sour cream w/ 1 tsp. Baking soda added

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients, add shortening and mix by hand until crumbly. (Reserve 1/2 cup for topping) Mix in eggs then the sour cream mixture. Pour into 3 round pans or 9 x 13
pan. Sprinkle the reserved 1/2 cup topping over top. Bake at 350º for 35 minutes.
