1 1/2 cups softened butter,( 3 sticks/3/4 pound)
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 egg yolk
1/4 tp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 cups finely crushed potato chips* (measure after crushing)
1 1/2 cups finely chopped pecans (measure after chopping)

1/3 cup sugar for dipping

In large mixing bowl beat together the butter, sugar, egg yolks, salt and vanilla until light and fluffy. Mix in flour, chips, nuts.

Form into 1" balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet--12 to a sheet. May line sheets with parchment paper. Place 1/3 cup sugar into a small bowl, Spray bottom of a glass with non-sticking cooking spray; dip glass in sugar and flatten each dough ball. Redo glass in sugar for each cookie.

Bake at 350º for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown around the edges. Cool cookies 2-3 minutes on sheet before removing to wire rack to cool completely,

*Use only greasy, salted old-fashioned chips.

Casey says that the recipe can be halved if 8 dozen is too many, but one can never have too many Chippers.
