3 tbsp butter
1 cup chopped onion

1tbsp dry yeast (or one envelope)
1 cup hot water
1/4 cup melted butter (or margarine)
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt

2 cups flour
1/2 tsp dry thyme
1 tsp dry sage

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onion in butter until golden. Set aside to cool.

Pour water, butter, sugar and salt into a small bowl. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Add yeast, stir lightly.

Add flour and herbs to yeast mixture. Stir until a sticky dough forms. Stir in onions, scrape down sides of bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise until doubled (approx 1/2 hour). Stir douwn dough (do not knead). Divide dough evenly between 12 greased muffin cups. Cover again with plastic wrap and let rise until dough rises just above the edges of the muffin cups -approx 30 minutes. Remove wrap and bake at 375ºf for 18-20 minutes

These are the best no-knead buns I have ever had. Feel free to change the herbs to your liking. I like using thyme and sage becaus it reminds me of stuffing and is great with chicken
