Ingredients:  
1/2 C. soft shortening
1 C. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbsp. thick cream
2 1/2 C. flour
1/4 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar and eggs. Stir in cream and vanilla. Stir in flour, soda and salt. Roll out and cut into desired shapes. Bake at 375º for 10-12 minutes

Every holiday we would make these cookies with my mom and deliver them to the older people in our ward. She is 77 yrs. old now and still doing it. It's a great tradition that has been handed down through the generations.
