1/4 cup flour
1 tsp salt
dash pepper
2 lbs. stew beef, cut in 1" cubes
1/4 cup cooking oil
1 cup water
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup vinegar
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp salt
1 large onion, chopped
3 carrots, cut in 3/4" pieces

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, the first tsp salt and pepper, coat meat with flour mixture. In large skillet, brown meat on all sides in hot oil. Combine water, ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce and the 2nd tsp salt. Stir into browned meat, add onion. Cover and cook on low heat for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add carrots, cook 45 minutes more or til meat and carrots are tender.
