Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 stick margarine, softened
1 lb confectioner's sugar
2 c crunchy peanut butter
3 c Rice Krispies
1 (12 oz) package of real chocolate chips
1/2 stick paraffin or 2 tbls solid shortening e.g. Crisco

Directions:
Directions:
Mix margarine, confectioner's sugar, peanut butter and Rice Krispies thoroughly in a large bowl. If margarine and peanut butter are not soft set bowl in a container of hot water for a few minutes.Line 2 cookie sheets with wax paper. Put a little powdered sugar on your hands and form candy into balls the size of walnuts. Make them as firm as possible - chill overnight. Melt chips and paraffin over hot (not boiling) water - do not cover. Stir to mix. Carefully insert a toothpick into a ball and dip 3/4 of the way into the chocolate. Return to wax paper. If it breaks or falls into the chocolate, just eat the evidence and be more careful. Chill until set.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
“This recipe comes from a 1960 cook book and is different from some recipe of today as it has Rice Krispies in them. I prefer them when I make Buckeyes and living in Michigan I have to make them often.” Nora
