3/4 C butter
1 3/4 C sugar
3/4 C cocoa powder
1 1/4 tsp baking soda
2 C flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/3 C water
Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven 350º

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy
Add eggs and vanilla, beating another minute at medium speed
Combine dry ingredients and add alternately with the water to the creamed mixture
Pour batter into two greased and floured 8 inch cake pans

Bake 35 - 40 minutes
