Ingredients:  
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sugar

1 c. raw, firm cranberries cut into pieces
juice and rind of 1 orange
2 T. melted shortening and boiling water to make 3/4 c. liquid
1 beaten egg
1 c. chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Sift first 5 ingredients together.
To the juice and rind of orange add shortening/water to make 3/4 c.
Add to dry ingredients.
Add egg.
Add nuts and cranberries.

Mix well. Pour into greased loaf pan
Bake at 350 for 1 hour

Serve with butter or cream cheese.
