1 c margarine
1 c light brown sugar
1 c granulated sugar
2 eggs, beat until frothy
2 c sifted flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp salt
1 c flaked coconut
1/2 c chopped nuts
3 c quick cooking oatmeal

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugars until fluffy, beat in eggs. Sift flour with soda, baking powder and salt, stir into creamed mixture, blend in vanilla. Mix in coconut, nuts and oatmeal until blended.
Drop teaspoon full balls 2" apart on lightly greased cookie sheet, flatten balls with fingers.Bake at 375º for 8-10 min. Remove while warm and cool.
