Two nice pieces flanken with bones
2 bunches carrots
4-5 sweet potatoes
1 sliced onion nice size
½ lb pitted prunes
¼ lb apricots
2 T brown sugar
Salt and pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Put flanken in pot that can go in oven.
Add just a little water, about half way up meat.
Add salt, pepper and brown sugar.
Add sliced onions.
Bring to a boil and cook for a half hour.
Taste to see if it needs more seasoning, it should be a little sweet. The fruit will make it sweeter.

Cut carrots and potatoes into nice size pieces and add to pot along with the fruit.
Put into a preheated 350º oven and bake covered until meat is soft and vegetables are done.
Taste after it’s been in the oven about an hour and see if it needs more seasoning or liquid.
You can add beef bullion if needed.
