Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
"Aunt" Sydney Reed lived with my aunt Edith at 1400 Georgia Ave. When her husband Sammy passed away, he left her the magnificent sum of $75 a month to cover all of her expenses -- which it did originally. However, she outlived his magnitude. Aunt Edith was my grandmother's youngest sibling. She was a tiny baby when her father passed away and her mother went back to work as a nurse to support the 5 Dalton children -- Ethel, Clara, Oscar, Alice and Edith. She sent my grandmother, Clara, to live with her mother and her youngest sister Harriet (Aunt Hattie) who was my grandmother's aunt but was close to her in age.
