1 c. granulated sugar
1 can condensed milk
1 T. butter

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve sugar in milk and butter. Cook the mixture until amber in color.
Add nuts, if desired.
Slowly cook for 15 minutes.

I think Grandma put the caramel mixture on a small piece of waxed paper and rolled it and wrapped it.
