Grandma Kay's Chow Mein Recipe

2 large turkey drumsticks

3 boxes chicken broth

1 stock of celery, chopped into large pieces

3 medium or 5 small yellow onions – chopped in large pieces

2 cans bean sprouts – drained

¾ cup light molasses

¾ cup low sodium soy sauce

Corn starch (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Cover drumsticks with broth in large kettle, bring to a boil and let simmer 2 - 2-1/2 hrs. Let cool.

Break turkey up into chunks and add to broth along with celery, onion, bean sprouts, molasses and soy sauce – if too thick, add more broth.

Let simmer ½ hour or so.

Mix cornstarch in additional broth to thicken. Add this just before serving, bring to a boil and it’s ready!

You can freeze this.
