1 1/2 Lb Italian sausage or ground beef
1 Onion, chopped
3 Garlic cloves, minced
1 Green bell pepper, chopped
4 C chicken broth
1 15 Oz can tomato sauce
2 14.5 Oz cans diced tomatoes
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
2 tsp Italian seasoning
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
1/4 C grated Parmesan cheese
2 C shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 C fresh basil, chopped
5 Lasagna noodles, broken up

Directions:
Directions:
Brown meat in large sauce pot or Dutch oven; add onion, garlic and bell pepper. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally until meat is crumbled and browned. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, crushed red pepper and Italian seasoning. Heat until the flavors are blended, about 20 minutes. Add the lasagna noodles, bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally until noodles are tender, approximately 10-12 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in mozzarella, Parmesan and basil. Garnish with croutons, extra mozzarella and fresh basil, if desired. Good served with bread sticks.
