Directions:Crust: Mix together with a little cold water to make a stiff dough. Roll out on floured surface. Put a bottom-crust in skillet to come up on sides and lap over top. (Keep enough dough for a top crust.) Preheat oven to 350º F.
Filling: Heat the blackberries and sugar to boiling. Mix the cornstarch and a little cold water together, then add a little of the water the blackberries are cooked in. Stir until smooth and no lumps. Slowly stir into the blackberries and continue cooking over medium heat. When thickened, add the butter and stir until melted. Pour over the bottom crust in the skillet. Make a top crust on the floured surface and place over the top. Seal the two edges together and cut four slits into the top crust for steam to escape. Bake until crust is golden brown.

Notes: "This recipe was passed down from Beatrice Gates Wascom to Olivia Stewart Wascom. A copy was passed to me by my niece, Vicky. Vicky shares that she likes to add melted butter to the top of the crust before serving. It's also delicious served warm over ice cream."~Brenda
