> 2 lbs Kale (washed and stripped)
> 1- 1 1/2 cups water as needed
> 1 tsp salt
> 2 cloves of garlic - peeled
> 1/3 cup of oil

Clean Kale--break stalks apart- discarding brown leaves. Strip leafy portions from stems and ribs. Discard stems and ribs.

-Place Kale in 3 qrt pan with 1 cup water, salt, garlic, oil
-Cover pot and bring to a boil then reduce to simmer about 10 minutes
-Uncover pot add water if needed and turn Kale completely over, cover and continue simmering for 10 minutes or until tender and mushy.
-With pot still covered and heat turned off, let Kale seep for additional 10 minutes.
-Check seasoning
