2/3 c shortening
1 1/3 c white sugar
2 eggs
2 large or 3 medium bananas (1 cup, mashed)
2 1/2 c flour
1 1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 c buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix shortening, sugar and eggs and bananas. Lift beaters, add dry ingredients and milk alternately in thirds. Line bottom of layer tins. Bake at 350º F for 25 to 30 minutes.
Let rest in pans 5 minutes. Turn out on racks to cool.
