3 eggs, separated
4 tablespoons sugar
4 ounces whiskey (optional)
1 cup milk
1/6 cup (1 2/3 ounces) dark rum
5/8 cup (5 ounces) brandy
1/2 pint cream
Pinch of salt
2 1/4 teaspoons vanilla
Nutmeg

Directions:

Beat the egg yolks and sugar in a large bowl.

In a separate bowl lightly whip the cream.

In a third bowl beat the egg whites with the salt until they hold soft peaks.

To the bowl with the beaten egg yolks and sugar, add the whiskey, milk, dark rum, brandy, whipped cream, beaten egg whites, and vanilla and mix ingredients together with a whisk.

Top glasses with nutmeg to taste.
