1 large box Jell-o Cooked pudding & pie filling, Lemon flavor
OR
1 envelope Bird's Custard/ Dessert Mix
3 T sugar
1-1/2 cups cold milk
1 T finely grated lemon rind

6 fresh breakfast croissants

powdered sugar (for garnish)

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare pudding according to package directions.
For Lemon Custard Recipe: Prepare the custard mix according to the instructions on the envelope, add the lemon rind when finished with the cooking of the custard.

Allow to cool.

Cut each croissant down the back and, using a piping bag (or small spoon) fill each with a bit of custard. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve.

This very simple dessert is common in pastry shops of Northern Italy. This version is a quickie since you don't have to make your own lemon custard from scratch. This dessert is very, very yummy!!
