Nanny's Cornbread Dressing Recipe

1 medium skillet cornbread - crumbled
8-10 slices toasted white bread - crumbled
1 large onion - chopped in chunks
2-3 stalks celery - sliced
3-4 tbsp. butter - melted
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 - 2 cans chicken broth ( approx. )
2 eggs
2 tsp. poultry seasoning ( approx. )
2 tsp. sage ( approx. )
1/2 - 1 tsp. salt
1/2 - 1 tsp. black pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Saute' onions and celery in butter until slightly tender. Add to crumbled cornbread and toast. Add cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, eggs, poultry seasoning, sage, salt and pepper. Pour into large casserole ( Lasagna size ) and bake at 350 for 40-50 minutes. May need to adjust bake time with your oven.

Be careful how much broth you add, should be very moist but not soupy. When baked it will be moist and can be spooned to serve. May need to adjust seasoning to your taste! This was Dave's Nanny Williams recipe.
