1/2 cup sugar
2 T cornstarch
1/8 tsp. salt
1 cup water
1 tsp. grated lemon rind
4 T lemon juice
2 T butter

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, cornstarch and salt with 1/4 cup water and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients. Cool slightly. Makes 1-3/4 cups, or about 14 servings of 2 T each.

This would be good on bread pudding or ginger bread, etc. It would be doubly good if you put a dollop of whipped cream on the dessert and then poured the lemon sauce over the whipped cream.
