1 lb pitted dates
3 cups boiling water
2 tbsp butter
2 eggs well beaten
1 1/8 cup brown sugar
1 1/8 cup granulated sugar
4 cups flour
2 tsp salt
2 tbsp vanilla
2 cups chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Pour boiling water over cut up dates and let cool. Then mix as usual. Bake at 350 ºF for 1 hour. Makes 3 medium size loaves.
