2 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. white karo
3/8 c. water
dash salt
2 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
chipped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Cook sugar, karo, salt and water without stirring until it forms a 3 to 4 inch thread. Add 1/2 of this mixture to stiffly beaten egg whites. Cool remaining syrup 2 minutes longer. beating constantly. Add vanilla and beat until mixture begins to lose its gloss. Then add pecans and drop by teaspoonfuls on waxed paper. (If divinity is too hard, add a few drops of hot water.)
