Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 C flour
2 C sugar
1 C water
3/4 C sour cream
1/4 C shortening
1-1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
4 T softened butter
3/4 C Cocoa or 4 oz. melted unsweetened chocolate (cooled). Omit the 4 T of butter if you use the melted unsweetened chocolate.
(The Cocoa works just fine and is cheaper.)

1 C heavy whipping cream
1 C semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 T butter

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350.º Grease well and flour a bundt pan. Beat all ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Beat for a couple of minutes until completely mixed. Pour into the prepared bundt pan. Bake for about 50 minutes. Let cool for about 15 minutes in pan and then put cake on a plate and frost when cool or pour ganache over while still warm. If you use the ganache, make sure the plate is large enough for the excess ganache.

For ganache:
Heat cream just until it starts to boil. Put chocolate chips in a glass or metal bowl. Take cream off the heat and add butter and then pour over the chocolate chips. Let set. DO NOT STIR for 5 minutes. Take a wire whisk and whisk until the cream and chocolate blend. Pour over hot cake and don't worry about the calories!

We got this recipe when we visited Sharon and Hal Call in Denton, Texas when they were the CES couple there. Lisa Garner was the Institute Director's wife.
Tiffany makes this for nearly every family gathering. Thanks, Tiff!
