2 1/8 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
12 tbsp. (1 1/2 sticks) butter, melted and cooled slightly
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1 lg. egg
1 lg. egg yolk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
12 oz bag M&Ms

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Line 9x13 pan with foil leaving excess hang over edges. Spray with cooking spray.

Mix flour, salt and baking soda together in medium bowl and set aside. Whisk butter and sugars in large bowl until combined. Add egg, egg yolk and vanilla and mix well. Fold dry ingredients into butter egg mixture until combined. Do not overmix. Fold in 1 c. M&Ms. Turn batter into pan and smooth top with spatula. Sprinkle remaining M&Ms on top and press slightly.

Bake until top of the bars is light golden, slightly firm and edges start to pull away from the sides of the pan; about 24-28 minutes. Cool completely on wire rack and remove from pan using edges of tin foil. Cut into squares and serve.
