2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 large shallot (or medium onion), finely diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 (15-ounce) cans tomato sauce
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
1 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons chopped fresh Italian parsley

Directions:
Directions:
Heat the olive oil and butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the onions and garlic and sauté for about a minute. Add in the tomato sauce, salt, pepper, and sugar. Stir to combine. Cook over low heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Remove from heat and stir in the cream.

Divide the ravioli among plates. Top with the tomato sauce. Garnish with the parsley. Serve.
