2 cups sugar
1 cup butter
4 eggs
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 Tablespoons rum
3 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon soda (in buttermilk)

GLAZE:
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup rum
Directions:
Directions:
Put rum in last very slowly to cake ingredients. Cook at 300º for 50 minutes. Cook until sugar melts.
