2 cups sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup milk
3 cups quick-cooking oats
1 cup nuts
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Bring sugar, cocoa, butter, and milk to a hard boil. Remove from heat; add oats, nuts, and vanilla. Mix well; drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper. Yields 24 cookies.
