1 teaspoon VANILLA EXTRACT

5 c. ALL PURPOSE FLOUR

2 teaspoons BAKING POWDER

1 teaspoons SALT

In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until smooth. beat in eggs and vanilla. stir in flour, baking powder, and salt Cover and chili dough for at least 1 hour (or preferably overnight).
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. On a floured surface, roll out dough 1/4 to 1/2 inch.
cut into shapes with any cookie cutter. Place cookies 1 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake 6 to 8 minutes. Cool completely.

roll one quarter of the dough at a time, keeping remainder chilled. the dough does get sticky, so use a lightly floured board and rolling pin.
Your cookie yield will vary depending on size and shape of your cutter; we used a 2 1/2 inch round cutter and got 92 cookies, including rerolled scraps.
When rerolling dough scraps, only do it once otherwise the cookies absorb too much flour and get tough. Here's our trick for rerolling. Gather all scrapes and rechill, then roll into a square. cut into diamonds squares, or bars for zero waste
