Break bite size pieces of bread or day old sweet rolls into a sprayed casserole dish or baking pan. Fill to about 3/4.

In a separate bowl mix:

1/2 cup milk
1 egg
1 tablespoon sugar
Vanilla

Beat together

Multiply thiis mixture to absorb bread plus about a inch of liquid in bottom of dish.

Can sprinkle cinnimon or nutmeg on top. Also can sprinkle raisins or nuts.

Bake 350 degrees in a water bath for one hour.

Carmel sauce, or cream or ice cream if you want a topping.
