1 1/2 lb Top Round or Top Sirloin approximately 1 in thick
1/4 c Salad Oil
1/4 c Water*
3/4 c Low Sodium Beef Broth*
1 Medium Onion sliced 1/4 in thick
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
1/4 tsp Ginger (we don't use this)
2 Med Green Peppers cut into 3/4 in strips
1 tbsp Cornstarch*
2-3 tsp sugar? What you think tastes right
2 tbsp Soy Sauce*
2 Med Tomatoes (we use 3 Rommas) cut into eighths
* We double these 4 items because we like a lot of gravy

Trim fat and silver skin from meat; cut meat into strips approximately 2 in x 1 in x 1/4 in
Heat oil in large frying pan add meat and cook until well browned about 5 min
Add Water, Beef Broth, Onion, Garlic Powder and Ginger bring to boil reduce heat cover and simmer 12 to 15 min for round steak, 5 to 8 min for sirloin steak
Add Green peppers during last 5 min of simmering
While meat simmers start cooking 4 to 6 servings of instant rice or noodles
Blend together Corn Starch, Sugar and Soy Sauce; stir into meat mixture
Bring to boil stirring constantly until mixture thickens boil and stir for 1 min
Taste now to check seasoning salt or sugar
Add Tomatoes; cover until tomatoes are warmed through about 3 min
